Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
ZamioKids ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It applies to our website, app and services.
1. What we collect
We collect the personal information you give us and information generated as you use ZamioKids, including:
- Account information — your name, email address, password (hashed) and, for Providers, business details.
- Booking and enquiry information — the listings you enquire about or book, session choices, ticket quantities, messages you send to Providers, and children's first names or ages if you choose to share them.
- Reviews and saved activities — content you post and listings you favourite.
- Usage information — device, browser, IP address, pages viewed and basic diagnostics used to keep the service safe and improve it.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Parents and carers use ZamioKids on behalf of their family.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to operate the platform, create and manage your account, process bookings and enquiries, connect you with the Providers you choose, issue tickets, respond to support requests, keep the service secure, and improve the experience. We may send you transactional emails about bookings and, if you opt in, occasional updates about relevant activities.
3. We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share it only where needed to run ZamioKids — for example, sharing your enquiry with the Provider you're booking with, or with hosting, analytics, email and payment providers who act on our behalf and are required to protect your information.
4. Storage and security
Your information is stored on secure managed cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level database security. No online service is perfectly secure — please help us by keeping your password confidential.
5. Your choices and rights
You can access, correct or delete your account information at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. To request access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
6. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when the current version took effect.
