Refund & Cancellation Policy

This is general information, not legal advice.

ZamioKids is a marketplace. When you book an activity, your agreement is with the independent Provider running it. This page explains how refunds and cancellations work across the platform. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. If the Provider cancels a session

If a Provider cancels a session you've booked — for example due to weather, under-enrolment, illness or venue issues — you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price you paid, including the ZamioKids platform fee. Where possible, the Provider will offer you a reschedule or credit as an alternative; a refund remains available if that doesn't suit your family.

2. If you cancel a booking

Cancellation windows are set by each Provider and shown on the listing and at checkout. Common patterns you'll see include:

  • Full refund if you cancel more than a set number of days before the session (for example 7 or 14 days).
  • Partial refund or credit for cancellations inside that window.
  • No refund for last-minute cancellations or no-shows.

Always check the specific cancellation terms shown on the listing before you book.

3. Illness, injury and exceptional circumstances

Many Providers offer a credit, reschedule or partial refund when a child is unwell or injured close to a session — subject to reasonable proof (such as a medical certificate) and their own policy. Contact the Provider as early as possible.

4. The ZamioKids platform fee

When a booking is refunded in full, the 7% platform fee is refunded to you along with the ticket price. For partial refunds, the platform fee is refunded in the same proportion.

5. How to request a refund

To request a refund or cancel a booking:

  1. Open the booking from your Bookings page.
  2. Contact the Provider directly using the details on the booking. Most refund and reschedule requests are resolved between you and the Provider.
  3. If you can't reach the Provider, or you believe your consumer rights aren't being met, email us at teamgetzamio@gmail.com with your booking reference. We'll help mediate.

6. Refund timing

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, funds typically appear within 5–10 business days.

7. Your consumer rights

The Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded by these policies. If an activity has a major failure — for example, it is unsafe, materially different from what was advertised, or not delivered — you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or compensation regardless of a Provider's stated policy.
